—Cosmo is pretty chubby, and sprout is super just thin. Like if you blew on him he’d just go with the wind

—While cosmo was always kinda chubby, he gained some noticeable weight after meeting and becoming acquainted with sprout because sprout is always baking treats and yummy goodies for him and cosmo doesn’t have the heart to turn him down

(I love characters who gain weight happily)

—Sprout uses comically large oven mitts to get the food out of the oven while they cook, and cosmo just laughs at him because they look so stupid

—They both have little tails—Sprouts is just a large wispy leafy tail, while Cosmo’s is bigger and it looks like a cinnamon roll

(only it’s not but like…yk what I mean? Think of a Pomeranians tail but made out of the same chocolate Cosmo is made of.)

—Sprout is super forgetful when he’s not in the kitchen so Cosmo tells him something like “hey sprout can you grab some ___ for me later..?” And sprouts like “yes I can!!” he never does and he lets cosmo down

—they watch movies every weekend and they make special little pastries and junk to eat while they watch said movie. Cosmo always falls asleep on a full stomach wayyy before the movie finishes, so sprout just cuddles him until he falls asleep himself.

—they’re both idiots . Like Cosmo grabs the oven rack while it’s hot to pull it out with no mittens or anything… “ow I burnt myself..!” sprout turns without his own mitts on. “Here, let me try!” …. “Ow I burnt myself”

—Sprout doesn’t like cinnamon and he just crinkles up and writhes on the floor when fed cinnamon. Cosmo LOVES cinnamon so guess who gets all the yummy cinnamon flavored treats. More for him I guess

—Cosmo has the attention span of a fruit fly. Sprouts talking to him one second and the next cosmos’s like “eeuuuuuuyyghhhhhhhhhh” just zones out.

—Sometimes sprout tries to bring someone else in the kitchen to help them make bigger/more complicated things , but Cosmo gets an anxious because he’s so used to it just being him and sprout ..

—Cosmo is also very prone to colds and stuff…(if a chocolate cream roll can even get sick.) Sprout brings him all kinds of treats as a get well gift—like warm cookies…fresh and warm crossaints.. you know.

—Sprout has a much bigger appetite than Cosmo does, and sprout could probably eat about six times of whatever Cosmo does. If Cosmo tries to eat more than he can then he just makes himself sick (wow shocker)

—They also have a big big BIG thick and heavy recipe book. They decorated the cover and the book themselves, and they’re always adding new recipes into it. It sits on a high shelf that neither of them can reach though so it’s always a struggle to get it down.

he makes things that are designed to go ludicrously fast or rain down seething death from above or climb sheer cliffs without the slightest of issues or mech walkers armed to the teeth that would make a metal gear or a wanzer look like a child’s toy

none of those things are, in any way, shape or form, designed for a comfortable drive

hell he doesn’t even really need to drive well: hyrule barely even has any roads and half of his inventions fly through the air already

all that matters to him is getting from point a to point b by land, sea or air, pedestrians, misfiring vehicular cannons or grievous crashes be damned

and he already has the attention span of a hypercaffeinated fruit fly so you know he’s gonna change course and go check out whatever weird shit he spies from his cockpit in a heartbeat

i mean you see what he does in the sidequests where you have to make a vehicle to transport an npc right

the people he has to transport might seem overly afraid

but keep in mind link is the one driving the vehicle: they bail out at what seems like small tilts because, though it may not seem that way to him, he drives like a fucking crackhead

and that’s why, though zelda trusts him with a lot of things, making a safe vehicle and driving it like a sane person is not one of them

and link, for the life of him, cannot figure out why zelda is always clutching the vehicle for dear life despite insisting everything is fine

Gameplay/story notes on Jordan’s week in the wilderness:

For the record, I totally have Jordan’s future drafted out for like the next five years of his life. Because that’s how I roll. I’m always open to the story changing as I go, but my early drafts are usually pretty close to the end vision by the time I get there.

Even so, it’s always fun to do a little gameplay to see a character in action and see how their sim behaves in a certain scenario, or see if gameplay pops up any ideas or nuances I might be missing. Also, sometimes I just get the itch to actually play this game as a game, you know?

So I sent him off into the wilderness for a week, which in my gameplay timeline is about 3 sim-days, playing only his lot and not switching households.

I can imagine some simmers rolling their eyes at 3 whole gameplay days with one sim, but you don’t understand just how frequently I change households! Like, several times a day! I have the attention span of a fruit fly with my sims, lol!

Most of my inclinations about him were confirmed.

He was SO HAPPY out there. Blissfully happy. Like, a little bit of dry skin, but overflowing with positive moodlets. So many of his traits (active, adventurous, loves the outdoors, outdoorsy lifestyle) just thrive in this environment. He had lots of active wants (fishing, jogging, cooking), which he was able to fulfill. He was also just a little lonelier than he thought he would be—when he first arrived, his whole panel of wants was to talk to people, which I did not let him do, because, alone time.

He skilled up quite a lot, but I think that has to do with the skill boost on the micro-home lot type.

He missed Maria, of course. It was also funny that he rolled wants for Milo, but not Felix. Naughty, Jordan, you’re not supposed to pick favorites! (Funny enough, though, that kind of plays into some future drama I see coming for the twins as they enter their preteen years.)

And the fear of death popped up while he was repairing the camper. That was interesting, and I kept it for the story because it reflected on some feelings he’s had before in his history.

Colette called him, seriously, like five times a day. That’s one part of the story that’s true in gameplay as well. And why? I don’t know. Nobody else calls him as much as she does. Her sim is such a nag, lol!

The date one is funny, though, and I’m actually writing that bit into a future story. Watch out, Ronnie, lol!

Ugh, and you know when she finally does start dating, she will totally call Jordan and taunt him with each one.

Strawberry Crepe x Poison Mushroom: A pretty nice pairing!! Both members of the cookies of darkness so it’s very interesting!! Don’t have much to say outside of a pretty nice dynamic! I don’t follow the COD’s stories all too often actually, but I think it’d be interesting! I can see Crepe always working on new wafflebots and constantly rambling and talking about the schematics and details to Poison mushroom with them nodding along.

PM probably listens because they like hanging out with Crep, but when PM talks about shroomies Crepe sits and asks questions while they work on smaller projects.

Dark Choco x Sparkling: I haven’t seen this around too often! But very interesting! I’ve seen some official artwork of these two together now and again, I think they have a nice vibe! Ummmm in terms of like, an idea or thought process, I can see Sparkling often seeing Dark Choco as a sort of regular of his bar. Sparkling would likely start their friendship by asking a few questions about him, only receiving vague or simple answers.

Eventually Dark Choco will eventually let down his walls, opening up more and the both of them talking more and more. This would eventually lead to Dark Choco letting it slip he’s actually living out in the woods, Sparkling would quickly spring to action and ask for DC to stay with him! And the rest was set in stone!

Kumiho x Twizzly Gummy Cookie: This one is pretty interesting! I would have never thought of this pairing myself but it is very neat regardless! This one like, genuinely stumped me a bit, since I’m trying to keep the rhythm of writing some little snippet or something.

Ummmmm for how they met, ok ok, they’d probably have met by like, pure chance or something, Kumiho was probably out in the woods and chatting with some of her Forest friends when a multicolored portal and the sound of crazed cackling echoing out through the forest… right behind her.

Twizzly Gummy, officially stating her entrance, Twizzly was about to start her chaos when she sees Kumiho. I like to think their relationship was chaotic from the start, not sure if TG started off having a crush Kumiho because of her like, ability I think?? But she’s so wild and chaotic that Kumiho didn’t realize the feelings were mutual.

1 - Sometimes I feel like I don't have a personality, just coping mechanisms and a whole lot of reactions caused by anxiety, which is one of the reasons why I started therapy. Apparently I need to just sit down and ask myself "what do you need now / in general?" and it's helping me finding out who is the person I'm wearing << she's kind of an idiot but I'm starting to like her the more I connect to her.

2 - Huge cat person. They're the most communicative beings on earth, they have social cues and a plethora of personalities. Did you know they evolved to mimick the cry of human babies to attract our attention? They have a special "meow", basically. When they do that, we immediately turn our attention to them because our preservation instincts kick in and we're forced to respond. I just love cats so much omg 💛

3 - I can't remember shit, really. It's either a problem or a funny thing because my memory is very selective for no reason lol I know that you hate peas but I can't remember if you needed a lift to the airport or a pack of crackers when we talked yesterday. But when something negative happens... ooohboi! I'll somatize that for years and would remember every single detail, even the color of the sky in that specific moment.

4 - Never tell me that The Divine Comedy is a fanfiction. That's a major turn off. It's one of those things I take very seriously, tbh <<

5 - I don't vibe with horses lol I befriended a horsie called Carrot when I was 7 and horse riding was one of my favorite things ever, until the guy made me fly to the ground because something scared him :' I don't really blame him, but it was a painful experience - hopefully for me only. I tried to connect with other horsies later on but it never worked out.

6 - I horribly love chocolate based desserts. Big faves are sachertorte (of course lol), tiramisù, millefoglie (it's a layered cake with custard/chocolate ganache and puff pastry), and everything that comes with chocolate ganache. Carnival fritters give me so much joy too! Last time I had those I almost wept because they were so good lmao

7 - I really enjoy weird Medieval guys, the miniature style critters you could find on tomes. I'm fairly obsessed with them because they're so stylistically elegant but so dumb to look at 💛 A new addiction I found out I have is looking for creepy looking baby jesuses on Medieval and Renaissance paintings whenever I visit an exposition.

8 - I never had bubble tea, but I will - once I gather enough confidence to try this cute Japanese bar that opened around here << they have like 50 different options and options make me feel like I'm in front of an audience ready to hit me with rotten fruits. Hopefully it's worth it? Lol

9 - My body refuses liquorice. I thought I was allergic but you can't be allergic to liquorice apparently. But like, hear me out, whenever I ate it, I got the most horrific allergic reactions, no kidding! Even its smell, or a smell close to that makes me wanna run as distant as I can because my skin reacts to it o-o

10 - I did write more than 5 long fics (not counting one shots) in a span of 10 years, which they say it's impressive, considering the amount of chapters and the multiple revisions I always do. I tend to be overly critical when it comes to my writings, so I tend to avoid rereading what I do, except for my second mass effect fic about the Lazarus project, "In A Moment", which I'm very proud of. It's a "what if Shepard asked herself how she came back and if she really came back before the events of me3? And what would her reaction be if she found out reapers' tech was involved in her comeback?" kind of fic. Spoiler: she didn't take it well. I couldn't find anything like that in the mass effect section of the site I publish my stuff in, so I wrote it myself lol it's in my native language tho .-. Hopefully one day I'll find an editor and a translator to cover in money

Hi, Anon! It’s not random at all 😊 (Also, so sorry for the late reply) 

I have a million different au ideas floating around everywhere, and because I have the attention span of a fruit fly, they’re all in various different stages of completion. Also, procrastination is a b!tch. I wish I was one of those amazing writers on here who can spit out a fic in five minutes, but sadly I’m not. 😕

I know I said I’d like to post some of my fics last year, which didn’t happen because shiny new ideas and hobbies kept swaying my attention. But this year! This year I hope to at least post one of my fics. I plan on coming up with a new writing schedule to help with all of that. Wish me luck. 

The WW2 au is still in the outlining/research stage. (The plot keeps changing like the freaking weather!) And I want this fic to be as true and historically ‘Accu-Rat’ as possible. Plus, I still need to figure out why the hell the Captain was stationed at Button house for in the first place. I have some ideas, though none fully formed just yet.

Personality description: August was born with what they call a "strong personality". Once a month, a fairy ring appears in the same place in the woods and a human is led astray. There is dancing until the human ceases to be and a big feast held afterwards, all to appease the ancestors and invite them back home.

In ancient times, there was a family of ethereal faeries. They were recognised by their golden wings and glitter and the faint glow their skin had at all times, as well as the twilight magic they possessed. But above all, they could see into the future.

As centuries passed, the family's magic began to diminish and shape itself into something else; their wings lost the strong golden hue, turning reddish instead with little golden sheen to remind them of old times. Twilight no longer bent to the fairies' will but the plants and flowers did. The saddest thing of all though, was that now the future was uncertain.

But nothing would erase the fact they were the descendants of the ethereal faeries, not even the whispers and rumours their family history was nothing but make-believe; how could magic like that simply disappear? The family says the mixing of genes was the cause of it all and still see themselves as higher beings of sorts, saying a prayer for their ancestors' safe return each night, convinced they still exist perhaps between realms or space and time.

To show off their importance, they require each child to keep up with and be involved in politics, to be well-mannered and highly educated, and understand trade. Yet the middle child of seven, August, did not deem all of it as important as the rest of his family did; he'd heard the whispers and rumours of others, how some people outside the family questioned their history and whether the ethereal faeries were real to begin with.

Being the middle child of the family, it was easier to sneak out than it would have been for his siblings. Instead of kneeling at the shrines daily, he preferred to explore the forests, play with other creatures, practice archery and craft arrows; after multiple attempts to tell his family that could be a way for them to get actual recognition, they deemed his behaviour "erratic" and would have none of it.

Since they couldn't get through to August, they saw it best to send him off to somewhere unfamiliar in hopes he would respect a stranger's authority more. His cousin had been to the academy a few decades prior which was how they chose to send August there too, writing the academy a letter where they hoped they would be kept updated on August's progress.

Nope. It was a while back.

Didn’t make THIS account until last year. It’s actually kind of funny cuz, like, everyone from my generation knows them as the band from tumblr. And, like, I got into it late like in 2017. Around the same time Harry Styles had gone solo, and y’all know I’m an unapologetic Harry Stan. And the whole One Direction tension with the 1975 is well known. So when I was in peak Harry stuff I wasn’t in the 1975 mode and vice versa.

But someone, I don’t remember who it was, was writing a kind of love triangle of female character, Harry and Matty. Then the guys went on tour for Being Funny and matty started kissing people. And spitting on the camera. And the fic author was like “moving forward I’m gonna change the matty character cuz omg gross” and obviously all the harries started hating on Matty. Cuz he’s kind of an anti-Harry figure in that fandom. That’s what made me start this blog lmao. Like I kept posting stuff on that other page tryna sus the vibes. Who’s matty healy. Anyone here also a 1975? Anyone here know about part of the band? And I got some dms but mostly people weren’t into the overlap. So I made this blog to start fresh. It’s a side blog too! (Hence the not following people enough)

Like I wasn’t really planning on keeping it too active. AND I named it “the1975attheirverybest” because my plan was that it would be a place exclusively dedicated to the atvb tour. Like I didn’t wanna write fics for matty. I didn’t feel like I could do it.

Aromanticism/Asexuality in Heartstopper

Alright, so I just finished season 3 of Heartstopper (I know, I'm super late to the party but I have the attention span of a fruit fly bear with me) and the aroace representation was EVERYTHING to me. Isaac's journey, what little we get to see of it, is insanely realistic. I know that Alice Oseman, the creator of Heartstopper, is aroace, so it makes sense that this is some of the best rep I've seen.

The way he feels left out within his friend group is so painfully true to life. He has a fantastic friend group and they're all super supportive, but they're all paired off. Isaac is on his own more often than not, feeling like a third wheel or ninth wheel in the larger friend group setting. The first season, most of them were single, and we see a lot more of Tao, Charlie and Isaac hanging out together as a trio, but in the third season Tao and Charlie are almost always paired off with Elle and Nick, respectively. You can see how Isaac tries to recreate the dynamic they once had when everyone was single, but how the romantic relationships invade every aspect of that.

His outburst with Tao mirrors everything I've had breakdowns about myself. With an amatonormative culture that puts so much emphasis on romantic relationships and finding the one, ending up alone while all my friends are happily paired off is such a big fear of mine. I want to lean on my friends for comfort, but they're also the source of my pain, which makes it so hard. It's so easy for people in relationships, especially in that honeymoon phase, to neglect their friends and as an aroace person, I struggle to be understanding with this because I don't understand those feelings. I value friendships over every other relationship and it's so frustrating when I don't feel like I'm getting that same energy back. Isaac does such a good job of dealing with these feelings for so long (an entire summer! insane!) that it's only natural for that patience to wane and snap.

What he was talking about at the aquarium was so real too. Figuring out that you're asexual and aromantic is such a joyful but also devastating moment. As a kid (at least for me as someone who's AFAB), you're always told that you'll grow up and get married and be so happy. But realizing you're asexual and aromantic means that this picture-perfect ending you've always assumed will be yours might not be anymore. Being aroace in an inherently amatonormative world means that your path will automatically be so different than everyone else's. Coming to terms with that is painful. It feels like your future happiness has been ripped away from you and it'll be impossible to find it again. It takes a lot of support from people you care about and most importantly a lot of time to become ok with that. I believe that Isaac will find some manner of this and I'm curious to see if there will maybe be a QPR with him and James (I've not read the Heartstopper comics if it wasn't obvious).

Shifting gears a little, Tori is also important representation. I know that she's asexual from the fact that she's the main character of Solitaire (a book I need to read still), but I also think she's on the aromantic spectrum at least. Being uncomfortable with relationship labels isn't an inherently aromantic thing, but she seemed to be struggling a lot with understanding a different kind of love than the sibling love she has for Charlie. It would make so much sense to me for her to be demiromantic, an identity that could always use more representation. I love that Michael's only goal is to be happy with him and Tori side-by-side and is doing his absolute best to understand what's going on in her head. Figuring out identities is so stressful, and that support is everything! I will definitely be reading Solitaire at some point because I need to see more of their relationship ASAP.

This has been an excited rant from someone who cries every time they see aroace rep on TV because it's so rare and even more rare to be done correctly.

Pitcher Plant Inspired Fruit Fly Trap With Stuff You Have In Your House (/Apartment/Dorm/Place Of Residence- you know what I mean)

Before I start (not required reading feel free to skip):

Why is this tagged under adhd and neurodivergent? Because I suffer from adhd in addition to other mental illnesses and I wholeheartedly believe that these are major contributors to how I got to the point of needing this in the first place. Tasks hard. Dishes gross. I don't like living in a dirty environment but when Thing Hard and Brain Says No shit happens and here we are. I hope this may be able to help others with similar issues!

I have no idea how successful this idea is on a larger scale. I just came up with it myself two weeks ago, it seems to be working, so I'm sharing it in the hopes that it will help others! Please feel free to let me know if it works for you/offer any suggestions or critique!

Because reading hard and attention span equivalent to said fruit flies, I have turned this into a bullet point list. :)

Items needed:

cup

water

soap (i used generic dish soap)

plastic wrap

sugar (potentially not needed?? idk i thought maybe it would help mask the soap)

fruit (i used watermelon)

Construction:

put some soap in cup

fill maybe 2/3-3/4 of the way full with water

mix to make sure water is nice and soapy

swish to make sure sides of cup are soapy

put a decent amount of sugar in there (it'll dissolve in time just ignore it)

fill as much as possible with fruit chunks

put plastic wrap over the top

poke decent sized hole in the middle

put near sink/fruit fly problem and ignore

ta-da all done, you can stop here :)

How it's worked for me so far:

It took a while to really get going, they seemed largely uninterested in it for the first few days. A few of them got caught but not very many. However, once the watermelon started rotting it really picked up steam. The plastic wrap has helped keep the smell mostly trapped so as long as I don't pick it up and take a sniff I can just leave it there and it doesn't bother me or my roommate. The trap has been going for just about 2 weeks now and here's what it looks like currently.

The thing is full of the little buggers, and while I haven't been staring at it to know if the plastic wrap has successfully kept them from escaping/the soapy sides have caused them to fall, or if they'd be getting caught regardless, I DO know that it keeps the smell in and I have seen some crawling on the underneath of the plastic wrap and tapped it to drop them in the water several times before so hey I think it's helpful.

The fruit flies aren't COMPLETELY gone, and no doubt it's being helped by the fact that I haven't let the sink get as bad as it was before (you don't wanna know), it seems to have caught a fair number of them and I am more than happy to know that at least this many fruit flies have died a soapy death instead of buzzing around the kitchen so hey if it works it works. I'd say I generally only see 1-3 around the kitchen at any given point rn so take that as you will. It's undoubtedly a combination of factors but I like to think my pitcher plant inspired trap is contributing!

Anyway, I hope this helps someone! Again, feel free to add in any critiques/ideas for improvement, I just made this up two weeks ago out of frustration and being BrokeTM (plus: go shopping for bug traps??? in this mental state??? it took me ages to clean the sink and you think i want to go to the store???) so it's not exactly a long process of development here lol

i took down some random fucking post in my store because it was going viral and it was hitting the wrong fucking audience. like the whole thing was a shit show of 14 year olds being fucking rude? and then i had to clear up comments about my appearance in photos I've taken that had to involve myself.

i have 0 issues with helping people with what button press i use/materials but i fucking don't need some fucking idiot 17 year old commenting on my shit about what they think i have/use. i don't need fucking children in my fucking store.

frankly it was the worse day i've had in a long time with my store. i have 0 want of getting any sort of ~internet fucking fame~ i just want to make cool things that support my life, living with my partner, being able to just function. i don't need fucking children in my store, i don't want to talk to fucking kids, fuck off.

seriously i took a fucking sick nap, finally after hours of fucking dealing with a headache i fucking took a nap after i played some animal crossing, fucking 40k+ more views and some 100 odd comments and fucking my inbox is insane.

my store isn't for fucking kids. i don't care if it's some wholesome shit i might post on a button image, i just can't fucking deal. i don't know why people strive for wanting this. i fucking hate it. i have no fucking clue why it landed on my fucking lap and it's not the fucking audience or anything i needed. it's not the lack of sales from it, truly it's the fucking unruly bullshit that ensues with fucking fruit fly attention spans.
